Akufo-Addo wants to impose himself on Ghanaians through manipulated elections – Kwakye Ofosu

A former Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu says the President of Ghana wants to impose himself on the people of Ghana through a manipulated poll.

The Electoral Commission has insisted that it will go ahead to compile the new voters register and have notified the public of the various safety protocols to adhere to ensure that people who visit the polling stations are safe.

The Electoral Commission has also reiterated that it will accept the Ghana Card and Passport as a form of identification at the registration centers and not the old Voters ID Card.

Reacting to the entrenched position by the Electoral Commission, Kwakye Ofosu who is a former Deputy Minister said the Electoral Commission’s insistence on compiling a new voter roll is sickening.

To him, the insistence of accepting just the Ghana Card and Passport which a number of Ghanaians do not have is an indication that Akufo-Addo wants to impose himself on Ghanaians through a manipulated electoral process.

He said “The unconscionable decision to disenfranchise millions of Ghanaians through the exclusion of the Voter ID cards from the list of primary identification documents for registration, is one more reason why President Akufo-Addo must be voted out.
